Authentic Rudy Van Gelder + Columbia Studio B style mixer templates, etc.ģ. Authentic mono mixing templates for early stuff.ģ. Motown, Stax, Chess (huge gap in the TT catalog IMO), Earl Young/Philly International, etc with styles such as Southern Swamp soul, New Orleans / Texas 60's funk with those biscuit tin sounding snares, Earl Palmer, Gadson, Paul Humphries, etc - P-Funk and 'on-the-one' style MIDI patterns in general, seventies soul/funk big sounding drums ala Slave, EW&F, Fatback Band, disco, eighties boogie, nineties R&B/Hip-Hop crossover ala Questlove, D'Angelo. Similar to the Decades concept of covering a range of eras, but focussing on R&B trends from the fifties to modern day. An up-to-date equivalent with similar techniques and kits but deeper number of samples/articulations would be a top seller i'm sure.Ģ. C&V still has some dryer, less ringy, vintage sounding drums that I reach for despite it being quite old now in terms of sample libraries.
